GMADA Aerocity Mohali Draw Results on 24/9/2010

The wait of over three lakh aspirants to own a dream house in Aerocity will end soon. The Greater Mohali Area Development Authority (GMADA) is going to conduct the draw of lots on 24 September 2010 for the allotment of 3,800 plots in its first independent integrated township spread across 1,000 acres in Sector 66 (East) and 82 (East) in the vicinity of the upcoming international airport here.

In an affidavit before the High Court, GMADA has undertaken to conduct the draw of lots in third week of September. Of the total 3,21,943 applicants, the maximum number of 85,600 aspirants are for eight marla plots numbering 760 while the minimum of 5,467 applicants are for 16 marla plots, which are only 47 in number.

According to the official figures available with Newsline, the break-up of application forms is 4,21,85 for 1 kanal (617 plots), 5,87,23 for 12 marla (694 plots), 26,358 for 10 marla (494 plots), 34,490 for 6 marla (523 plots) and 68,490 for 5 marla (665 plots).

To process such a large number of forms, which was a record response evoked by any housing scheme in Punjab so far, GMADA has deputed seven teams, comprising three to four staffers each, which were working overtime.

GMADA (Greater Mohali Area Development Authority) would like to thank all the applicants those have applied for the Aerocity residential plots scheme for their overwhelming response. It is to announce that all the information regarding the applications received for Aerocity Mohali is uploaded (category wise & bank wise) to the GMADA website (http://gmada.org). Applicants can check their application status and other details from the website. In case of any discrepancy, the applicant is requested to contact the bank branch where the application form was deposited. The banks are already advised to display the list of applicants on their notice boards.

The information from applicants regarding any mistakes would be sent to GMADA within 10 days of this news publication. They would be tallied with the record and if required, corresponding banks would receive the revised information from GMADA.

Mohali Aerocity Draw Results



Mohali Aerocity Draw would be held at the adjoining ground of PUDA Bhawan, Sector 62, SAS Nagar, Mohali on 24/9/2010 at 9:00 AM. GMADA will be conducting draw of lots for allotting 3,800 plots. Draw will be organized in 7 rounds at PUDA Bhawan in Sec 62. Greater Mohali Area Development Authority has provided list as "Category Wise Applicant List Aerocity GMADA" and "Bank Wise Applicant List for Aerocity GMADA" on its website. GMADA Chief Administrator, Vivek Partap Singh confirmed the news. He said, “If all goes according to plan, we would begin the process of holding the draw of lots tentatively from September 24, 2010.” A separate draw of 200 plots will be conducted for victims of riots and terrorism. The money of unsuccessful applicants will be refunded in October.

According to the plan, GMADA will hold draw of lots separately for each category and it is likely to be concluded in seven rounds. Each round will be held on a single day. A ground in front of PUDA Bhawan in Sector 62 was likely to be the venue. The final lists of applicants will also be displayed outside the authorised bank branches and the applicants will be required to file their objections, if any, on their entry in the list with the same bank, with which they had submitted their forms.

More than 3 lakh aspirants have applied for 3800 residential plots at GMADA Mohali Aerocity which is spread across 1,000 acres in East Sector 66 and 82. Though the scheme, which had evoked an overwhelming response as it offered freehold residential plots at affordable price of Rs 12,000 per square yard (Rs 3 lakh per marla) which is at least three times less than the market price of Rs 9-10 lakh per marla — had closed on July 6. But it took two months for the authorised banks to transfer the forms to GMADA.
